Proving that you don't need a plane ticket to enjoy an adventure, this paddleboarding route has everything - countryside rich in wildlife, St Patricks Stream - a cheeky little backwater to test your technical skills and views of some very special riverside properties.
About The Great House in Sonning:
A 47 bedroom hotel in the historic village of Sonning on Thames and home to the first ever Coppa Club. It's worth seeing if you can book one of their popular igloos for lunch or staying on for coffee on the riverside terrace. 20 mins drive from Reading station, 30 mins drive from sister hotel The Swan at Streatley.
